How many times have we heard that you should buy straw hats in winter or you should go against the trend if investing in the sharemarket? Well, guess what? The same applies if you want to make money online.
While everyone and their dog make a beeline to Google because it’s the dominant search engine out there, the really clever people who are making money online are looking elsewhere. They’ve had enough of Google AdSense and Google AdWords, and they’ve decided to look in a different place. They’ve also had enough of affiliate marketing and are now concentrating their efforts on the CPA networks. Why? Because most people are doing the opposite and it’s getting very crowded out there in the Google/Clickbank affiliate marketing world.
With CPA networks, you get paid for every action on the visitor’s part. Even something as simple as them providing just a name and email to get on a list will earn you money. You can also make money online by giving away a free trial of a product, getting a visitor to download a video or collecting a zip code. Your reward really leaps if that visitor fills out a form with multiple lines of information. The free demo model involves your customer downloading a free software product and they get to use it for a certain amount of time or for a certain number of uses. Downloadable games make big use of this model.
If you do go down the CPA route, make sure you join three or so of these networks as each one has different offers and this will broaden your scope. Once you apply, they will usually call you to check you out, unlike affiliate marketing sites, so have your answers prepared and ensure you have a great plan to tell them how you’re going to sell their offers. They need to know that you’re going to make them money.
And which search engine are we talking about? MSN, of course. MSN has an audience of 465 million visitors per month and while it’s only the second most visited site online (no prizes for guessing who’s first) nearly 90% of visitors bought a product online in the last month! No other search engine comes close to that.
