The key to being successful in PPC advertising is to make sure that your expenses are less than your revenue. Pay-Per-Click Advertising is one of the most reliable ways to make money online. Once setup correctly, you can allow your PPC Campaigns to continually drive qualified traffic to your websites.
Lets do Math
Let’s say advertising under a keyword that costs you $0.50 per click. You are selling an affiliate product on your website that pays you $30 per sale. To break even within this campaign, you need to make a sale every 60 clicks ($30 / $0.50). Any conversion rate better than 1:60, will earn you a positive revenue, or a positive ROI. Anything less than 1:60 will earn you a negative revenue, or a negative ROI.
OK enough of the Blah Blah…
The first step:
You need to open an AdWords account: Google AdWords (74% market share)
-Yahoo Search Marketing (16% market share)
-Bing-Microsoft Adcenter (6% market share)
The second step:
Research markets and keywords. Understanding the real success is determined by how relevant you are to the niche, rather than the actual niche you select.
The third step:
Now you need to find a product to promote. There are many affiliate networks and independent affiliate programs online that allow you to promote pretty much anything you can think of…from ladders to phones, to make-money books to video game rentals. Just sign up for the affiliate programs. There are few of them you could have a look at.
-ClickBank
-Commission Junction
-Google Affiliate Network
-Click2sell.eu (Europe)
The fourth Step:
Common Keyword Technique – group keywords. The more closely your keywords are related within a keyword, the easier it is to write a super relevant ad, and the easier it is to create a page that is relevant to all the keywords within the group. When you set up an ad group, you need to name it with a name that will clearly identify it for you further down the road.
The fifth step:
Write a Ad copy – An add should be intriguing, relevant, and offer an action step for person to perform. Before you are writing an ad copy you should think like the consumer. What would captivate someones interest enough to look at your ad, and entice this same person enough to click on your ad to see what your web page has to offer?
You need to focus on is ad relevance. If your ad does not contain the exact keywords that the person has just performed in their search, they are probably not going to click on your ad. This means that when you create your ad groups, you should focus on including all of the keywords within your ad group within your ad copy.
The Sixth step:
Landing page. A landing page is simply a page that people land on. This page could be a page within your website, an article, or a page within someone else’s website…any page really. Having your own landing pages also gives you the freedom to test, add analytics, and to refine your pages so they convert at an optimal rate.
After all PPC is the best way to obtain predictable and measurable traffic. Because you can target exact keywords and audiences from exact geographic regions, you can create campaigns that earn income not only for today, but for months and years to come.
Good luck for the future success!
